Week 4

In this week we learnt about a new program that is called DIIGO http://www.diigo.com/ . This program is a bookmarking account. It helps to organize by creating lists of different kinds of sections and we can add more web pages about the section we have. We started using this web site because it helps us to be in contact with technology. In our first activity we have to share in a group to discuss about a very useful page called "ICT in Education" http://www.unesco.org/new/en/unesco/themes/icts  where we have to do a summary and added as a comment in Diigo. This web page is very useful and important for us, because as UNESCO applies, ICT is a way to be updated in technology. Also, it can help us to show our quality of education in a very meaningful way. However, is very important to analyze that this web page is seen around the world, so many people can share many things and enjoy having this wonderful tool. We are in a world of changes and many people make of their days as a challenge. Many people prepare themselves to change their minds and develop our education to be better each day; in this way we realize that this web page as teachers can develop our critical thinking and develop our way to teach according to students' necessities. Week 3

    In this week I learnt many things about the principal topic "Plagiarism" that was a topic that we carried since the last semester because our teacher always tell us about it. I didn't know much about this, but in this semester I could realize that plagiarism is a very serious problem. In the forum we did, the teacher gave us many interesting   web pages to research this problem: http://www.pvc.maricopa.edu/researchhelp/plagiarism.html, http://www.plagiarism.org/, http://www.una.edu/library/help/plagiarism-students.html that were very useful because I can understand well the topic and how to avoid it.Plagiarism is to steal other author’s opinions, ideas, and definitions without citing his/her name. Plagiarism is very common because for students is very easy to copy and paste even without reading it, so they are not conscious about they are doing, they just do that because they think that in this way they do not make mistakes and the teacher puts them a good grade, but they are not growing with a criteria and they are not apporting with the society. It is very important to know because we can do a better job and I could use it in a future because I believe that by doing the things right, like: writing my own opinions and deducting what other author's saying can help me to develop my critical thinking and that`s good because I can create my own ideas by understanding the topic.

 

Week 1

In the first class we learn the basic rules into the classroom. The module introductions were very clear so, we can know what we have to do during this semester. The results will be positive because it is an organized way to be responsible with ourselves. Also, we are going to use new internet sources as a way to send homework to give lessons and to read interesting things that can increase our knowledges about technology and exploring it in a good way.

In the second class we start to work in pairs and we know a new topic about evaluating web pages. We made some feedback about this topic. When we usually do research, what kind of pages I look for? They are reliable ones?. With this little introduction, we read an article related to the topic and we have to analyze every single topic to understand many interesting things about good web pages and the fake ones. It helps us to have a good information with evidence, so we can do research without complains and doubts.

 

Week 2

This week was very interesting for me because I could learn how to use a web page that is very useful for everyone. First, we knew how to use the "aula virtual" and how to enter in this web page from the university. First, we have to put the password and everything that is required in this page like: our picture and say something about your personality. It is very important to know about the "aula virtual" because it helps us to be in contact with technology and add our homework in an organized way. Also, the teacher asked us to upload our assigment about the URL work. Also, she talked about the forum we have to do. She explained us about the teams we have to share and the comments we have to write. We had to discuss about the homework the teacher asked us to do, then we have to comment according a rubric the teacher gave us. A forum is very important because in this way we can share ideas with other partners and enrich our knowledges. Also, we can share some doubts about this topic and our partners discuss the topic with you. Then, the teacher told us to share our blogs with other classmates and we have to put in the "aula virtual". In adition, the teacher explained us about the digital portfolio we have to do with a very useful rubric that we saw on the Net. However, it is very useful to know all these thing because in a future we can know how to do a good research and how to organize our tasks in a different way. For me it is very important because, it helps to the environment and we just put our assigments on the "aula virtual" in stead of printing them.
